In the Okanagan, weather dictates our schedule. Here is what you need to know about our exterior painting window:
The Season: Late April to early October.
Temperature Rules: We only paint when overnight temperatures stay reliably above 5°C, ensuring the paint cures for a long-lasting finish.
Peak Months: May, June, and September are our busiest periods.
On average, a premium exterior paint job in the Okanagan lasts between 8 and 12 years. The exact lifespan depends heavily on proper prep work, using elite products (like Sherwin-Williams Emerald or Benjamin Moore Aura), and your home’s exposure to the elements:
South-Facing Walls: High UV exposure on sunny hillsides means these sides may need a refresh in 6 to 8 years.
North-Facing Walls: Protected from the harshest sun, these areas frequently last 12 or more years.
Your kitchen will be a workspace for about 3 to 5 days while we mask off the area and spray the cabinet frames. We construct full plastic containment zones with dust-extraction fans to keep your home clean and completely odor-free. While you won’t be able to cook during those few days, you will still have full access to your fridge at the end of each workday.
We exclusively use premium, low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) or zero-VOC paints from brands like Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams. These modern paints emit virtually no harsh chemical odors, meaning your family and pets can safely sleep in the home the very same night we paint.
Yes, protecting your property and our workers is our top priority. We carry comprehensive 2-to-5 million dollar commercial liability insurance and maintain active, up-to-date coverage with WorkSafeBC. We are happy to provide copies of our certificates with your written estimate.
That is entirely up to you. Most of our clients prefer to go about their normal workday or head out for the day while we paint. Our crews are professional, vetted, and respectful of your space. Because we use low-odor, low-VOC paints, the air quality is completely safe if you prefer to work from home in a separate room while we transform your space.
Absolutely. Kelowna homes—especially those with large windows overlooking the lake or valley—experience drastic lighting shifts from morning to night. Bright summer sun can wash out pale neutrals, while winter overcast can make cool greys look blue or purple. We offer professional colour consultation services and can apply large on-wall samples or provide oversized peel-and-stick swatches so you can see exactly how the colours behave in your home’s unique light before we start.
